Signs and symptoms
The most common signs and symptoms of lung cancer include:
- Coughing for three weeks or longer
- A change in a cough you have had for a long time
- A chest infection that does not get better, or repeated respiratory infections
- Unexplained wheezing and breathlessness
- Coughing up blood
- Pain in the chest or shoulders that doesn't go away
- Hoarseness lasting three weeks or longer
- Weight loss with no apparent reason
- Feeling very tired (fatigue)
- Changes at the ends of the fingers, with the fingers becoming larger or more rounded
